Part II. Rewrite/revise the following letter.
American Ballet Theater
Memorandum
To: Michael Kaiser, Executive Director
From: Kevin McKenzie, Artistic Director
Date: March 23, 2008
Subject: Gaynor Minden Shoes
We can all agree that it’s costing ABT a lot of money to keep our dancers in shoes, and if we could cut costs somewhere, this could be a benefit to the company. We could put the savings into new sets, or travel, or other areas of our budget needing a boost.
When you suggested we try a new high-tech shoe that might last longer, we agreed to give it a shot. And if these shoes could save on medical expenses and reduce the number of foot-related injuries among our dancers, I would be willing, not only to endorse the shoes, but to put on a pair myself and do television commercials for anyone smart enough to create such a miracle!
So we passed out the sample Gaynor Minden pointe shoes to our principal ballerinas. We explained that these shoes would not need hammering, slamming in doors, or other methods of softening. We told them to expect comfort, durability, and improved performance. Unfortunately, they all hated the shoes. I’m very sorry about this, Michael, but they refuse to dance in them and we must reject Gaynor Minden’s offer. Please apologize personally to Ms. Minden for me.
Part III. Create a resume from the information below; also, create applicable job responsibilities/descriptions to develop resume content. Determine whether a functional, chronological, or functional-chronological order is best. You may use some or all of the information. Limit resume to one page.
